Who’s Who in ‘Who Wants to Be a Superhero?’
Last Year’s Surprise Hit Reality Series Returns
It’s that time of the summer once more when 84-year-old comic-book legend Stan Lee (co-creator of Daredevil, Hulk, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men, among other comic icons) returns to the small screen, accompanied by ten brave mortals who think they have what it takes to rise to the pantheon of superheroes. Yes, Season Two of Who Wants To Be a Superhero? debuts tonight at 9pm EST on basic cable’s Sci Fi Channel, and Lee promises that there are surprises in store during his second run as sole judge and jury.
In an interview with SCI FI Wire earlier this month, Lee revealed that “[t]he biggest changes, really, are trying to dream up some tests that we haven’t seen before and which will be surprising and which will be provocative.” As a result, although the basic structure of the show will remain similar, the individual challenges and the role of the villain will unfold a bit differently.
