TV Guide’s Smoking ‘Ultimate Sci-Fi Preview’ Issue
Two-Week Edition Bursting with Gooey Science-Fiction Goodness
Sci-fi television fans, run, don’t walk, to scoop up the next edition of TV Guide, which is a most glorious tomb dedicated to all that is wonderful and science fiction on television, both now and in the forthcoming 2007–2008 season. I just retrieved my copy out of the mailbox, and am I ever pleased. In fact, I’m so happy, I just might have to read the magazine for the articles instead of only giving the daily schedules a perfunctory glance.
Immediately behind the Ultimate Sci-Fi Preview issue’s cover with the beautiful Bionic Woman women Katee Sackhoff (whom fans also know as intrepid Captain Kara “Starbuck” Thrace of Battlestar Galactica) and Michelle Ryan are pages and pages of brief features on just about every current and future sci fi-related series imaginable, including:
- The 4400
- Battlestar Galactica (Both the series and the November movie Razor)
- Bionic Woman
- Chuck
- The Dead Zone
- Doctor Who
- Eureka
- Flash Gordon
- Heroes (Including the hiatus spinoff Heroes: Origins)
- Hex
- Jericho
- Journeyman
- Kyle XY
- Legion of Super Heroes
- Masters of Science Fiction
- Moonlight
- New Amsterdam
- Psych (Chill—There’s a specific episode of the crime dramedy that’s relevant)
- Pushing Daisies
- Reaper
- The Sarah Connor Chronicles
- Smallville
- Star Trek (The comic-book series)
- Star Wars (Yes—You read that correctly)
- Stargate Atlantis
- Supernatural
- Torchwood
- Who Wants to Be a Superhero?
Hmmm… Look’s like somebody forgot about ABC’s Lost, though. Even with the next season’s late February 2008 premiere date, a short shoutout seems in order.
Oh, well. Like I said—run, don’t walk, to pick up TV Guide‘s July 23–August 5 Ultimate Sci-Fi Preview double issue. Unfortunately, I have no idea when it hits newsstands, but it should be there soon, if not already.
