Television watchers have definitely showed their love to veteran TNT crime procedurals currently airing summer seasons. As a result of fans’ continuing support and viewership, today the basic-cable network formally announced the continuation of three of its highly rated original series: Major Crimes, Perception, and Rizzoli & Isles.

Each drama — all set to close the first half of their present season this month or next — has received a 15-episode, one-season pickup. The renewals extend Rizzoli & Isles through a fifth season, and Major Crimes and Perception through a third.

Meanwhile, Rizzoli & Isles will take a midseason break after a September 10 summer finale, then complete Season Four in early 2014. The show’s Tuesday-night companion Perception will continue airing fresh episodes up to August 27, before going on hiatus until early 2014, when Season Two concludes.

Monday-night hit Major Crimes will have an earlier break and return, however. The Closer spinoff’s summer run ends on August 19, and the second half of the drama’s second season kicks off in November.

TNT announced the fourth-season renewal of sci-fi standout Falling Skies in July. Now I’m just waiting for equally good news about entertaining rookie King & Maxwell.

Major Crimes currently airs Mondays on TNT at 9pm ET

Rizzoli & Isles and Perception currently air Tuesdays on TNT at 9pm and 10pm ET, respectively
