TV Has a New Buddy Dramedy

Basic-cable network FX continues its history of airing edgier programming with the September 8 premiere of new crime dramedy Terriers.

The show kicks off at 10pm ET with the series pilot. During the episode, viewers meet central characters Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue of Life, The Knights of Prosperity, and Grounded for Life) and Britt Pollack (True Blood‘s Michael Raymond-James).

When former cop Hank decides to partner up with his best bud Britt as unlicensed detectives, the duo’s lack of maturity leads to various complications, some of which prove dangerous while they try to fight crime. The series has 13 hourlong episodes in its first season, currently scheduled to air Wednesdays on FX at 10pm ET.

Get an idea of what Terriers is all about in the following promo trailer. Definitely looks like must-see material to me.
