Taraji P. Henson Headlines Gripping Lifetime Flick
Based-on-Fact Tale Premieres

Fans of former ABC legal dramedies Eli Stone and Boston Legal probably have fond memories of cast member Taraji P. Henson. If you do, you might want to check out Lifetime’s latest new original movie Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story, which stars the Oscar-nominated actress (she got Best Supporting Actress props in 2009 for the Brad Pitt film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).
Henson plays the devastated title character Tiffany Rubin in the movie, which premieres on Monday, January 31, at 9pm ET. A schoolteacher and the mother of 7-year-old son Kobe, Rubin was forced to travel to South Korea in 2008 to rescue her child after her Korean ex-husband kidnapped him and relocated him to Seoul for seven months. I cannot even begin to imagine her anxiety and fear in those circumstances.
Other cast members include Emmy-winning Lost fave Terry O’Quinn as Mark Miller, the compassionate American Association for Lost Children founder who helps Rubin find and retrieve her son, and Beverly Todd (Six Feet Under) as Rubin’s staunchly supportive mother Belzora. A TV movie cast can’t get much better or more talented than that.
Get a small taste of what Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story is all about in the following promo. Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story, a special one-hour inside look at the film and the events it depicts, will air after the movie at 11pm ET.
