The holiday season is upon us, and so is the first-ever Christmas-themed episode of hit TNT dramedy Leverage on Sunday, December 12, at 9pm ET.

Appropriately titled “The Ho Ho Ho Job,” the installment finds Team Nate attempting to do good by Santa and holiday shoppers on Christmas Eve in order to keep the season full of year-end cheer. Achieving that goal requires thwarting a no-good mall owner and his partner in crime, who are determined to take advantage of customers through a devious, spirit-killing scheme.

NewsRadio and Kids in the Hall vet Dave Foley plays the corrupt retail businessman, and Star Trek: The Next Generation fan favorite Wil Wheaton returns to reprise his role as daring hacker Colin “Chaos” Mason, who perturbed Team Nate previously during last season’s fun “The Two Live Crew Job” episode.

Sneak a two-minute peek at “The Ho Ho Ho Job” in the preview clip below. The episode is the first of three installments in Leverage‘s brief winter run, which ends next Sunday, December 19, with the two-part, back-to-back Season Three finale “The Big Bang Job” and “The San Lorenzo Job.” Good stuff.

The summer is ending with a Bourne saga-style adventure on the September 8 Psych midseason finale called “One, Maybe Two, Ways Out.”

Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy star Franke Potente guests on the episode, which also features former Lost cast members Jon Gries and Nestor Carbonell. Of course, Carbonell is reprising his role from the previous episode “Shawn 2.0″ as Shawn’s jealousy-inspiring sleuthing rival Declan Rand.

German actress Potente plays a framed spy named Nadia who needs Shawn and Gus’ assistance to clear her name. Unfortunately for the guys, helping her will require (1) avoiding getting killed by the people who are hunting down Nadia and (2) determining if she’s really telling them the truth.

Preview Potente and Carbonell’s appearance on Psych in the following three “One, Maybe Two, Ways Out” sneak peeks. The episode premieres at 10pm ET.

Breaking Bad regular Dean Norris — who had a breakout season as broken-down DEA Agent Hank Schrader on the Emmy-winning AMC series earlier this year — guest stars on the first September episode of TNT crime drama Dark Blue, which is called “Jane Wayne.

While Dean and Ty babysit an irritating informant who’s a wannabe cop, Carter frets over undercover Jaimie’s enthusiasm to help bust a group of crooks who love posing as DEA agents so they can steal from drug dealers more easily. Slick dudes.

The execs at TNT must be clairvoyant or something, I tell ya. How else could they have known to schedule such great guest stars on the network’s two top-rated crime dramas, right on the heels of The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick’s much-deserved Outstanding Drama Lead Actress win during last night’s Primetime Emmys broadcast?

Veteran actor Gary Cole (Entourage, The West Wing, and TNT’s Wanted) headlines the guest list for the fresh August 30 episode of The Closer called “War Zone.” He plays military man Major Edward Dorset, who clashes with Brenda when her team investigates the shooting murders of three unlucky soldiers who managed to survive Afghanistan, only to be killed on home soil near a club in Los Angeles.

Not to be outdone in the guest department, Rizzoli & Isles follows at 10pm ET with “I’m Your Boogie Man.” The episode features the return of two excellent series-premiere guest stars, namely Billy Burke (Twilight, The Closer) and mega-creepy Michael Massee (Carnivàle, 24).

Massee’s jailed serial-killer character Charles Hoyt manages to cause a stir yet again when a dead body found in a park seems too similar to his past “work.” As a result, while analytical Maura attempts to figure out what the heck is going on, hot-headed Jane tries to not give in to her fear of the deranged person who almost killed her. The title makes so much sense.

The next-to-last Summer 2010 episode of TNT con dramedy Leverage takes the members of Team Nate all the way overseas to (not so?) merry London.

English actor James Frain (True Blood, The Tudors) guest stars on the fresh August 29 installment called “The King George Job.” Team Nate takes off for the United Kingdom after our favorite benevolent criminals discover an associate of crooked financier Damien Moreau is using children to smuggle stolen artifacts. While the group is in London staging an elaborate scam at an auction house in order to catch the culprit, Sophie encounters a few unpleasant blasts from her own past.

Also new and watch-worthy on August 29 are the two-hour second-season finale of Lifetime legal dramedy Drop Dead Diva (“Bad Girls” and “Freeze the Day” from 9pm–11pm ET) and the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on NBC (8pm–11pm, hourlong Red Carpet special at 7pm).

It is finally much-anticipated reunion time on the fresh August 27 episode of Syfy fantasy dramedy Eureka.

Not only does Carter have to help save Eureka again during “The Ex-Files” — this time from an unknown entity — but he and other residents have the pleasure of receiving visits from some long-gone former residents, such as Allison’s almost husband once more Nathan Stark (Ed Quinn) for instance. How I miss him. Not so when it comes to devious Beverly Barlowe (Debrah Farentino), however.

Haven follows at 10pm ET with “Ain’t No Sunshine,” which revolves a ghost story that suddenly becomes reality, thanks to a dark spirit that allegedly kills sick people before their time is officially up. Not fair.

Check out sneak peeks for both brand-new episodes below. It looks like Ed Quinn’s return to Eureka is definitely going to be a hoot and well worth the wait. Wish it was permanent.

Next up on TNT’s hit Monday-night lineup are the new August 23 episodes of The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles called “Jump the Gun” and “Born to Run,” respectively.

The Closer kicks the crime-drama block off at 9pm ET. While Pope learns a bit about his chances of securing the police chief job he so covets, a dead security guard causes Team Brenda to investigate a group of robbers whose crimes stop following their usual pattern. The question is why.

Former Brothers & Sisters and Charmed cast member Balthazar Getty guest stars on the following fresh episode of Rizzoli & Isles, which is all about the Boston Marathon. Instead of participating in the renowned race as intended, Jane and Maura end up trying to capture a deranged person who is shooting other runners one by one as the marathon takes place.

Other than the fallen runners and the massive crowds that always accompany such large-scale marathons, their biggest problem is having to investigate on the down low in order to avoid mass panic. Yikes! Talk about taking an acclaimed real-world event and making it as terrifying as possible.

TNT hasn’t provided a preview for The Closer this week, but you can sneak a two-minute peek at “Born to Run” below.

Recording artist and actor Marc Anthony did a fine job on last week’s “A Mother Knows” episode of HawthoRNe, so it’s all good that he reprises his role as Detective Nick Renata on the new August 17 “Picture Perfect” episode of the TNT medical drama.

Christina turns to the detective for assistance after her daughter Camille gets caught up in a tense situation. Meanwhile, she also finds herself at odds with Erin regarding the future of Tom’s career. In addition to Anthony, Sara Gilbert (Roseanne) guest stars again as snarky nurse Malia Price, who finally seemed to get with the program during “A Mother Knows” when Christina effectively made Kelly her boss. Ahhh … sweet revenge.

The Jason Lee crime dramedy Memphis Beat follows at 10pm ET with the new episode “Don’t Be So Cruel.” Partners Dwight and Whitehead investigate a mysterious wedding-day disappearance involving a city councilman’s aid — who was set to marry the councilman’s daughter — and a missing reporter.

Sneak a peek below at HawthoRNe star Jada Pinkett Smith and guest Anthony in a scene from “Picture Perfect.” As usual, TNT has not uploaded a preview for Memphis Beat, which continues to baffle me no end.

TNT’s August 16 crime-drama lineup features Desperate Housewives star Brenda Strong and daytime-soap-opera veteran Antonio Sabato Jr. on the new 10pm ET episode of hit rookie Rizzoli & Isles.

But first, TNT presents the fresh “Off the Hook” episode of The Closer at 9pm. The next homicide case for Team Brenda involves a murdered parole board member and Will Pope’s plan to make the police department look better. Of course, the aspiring police chief needs his “chief” rival Brenda’s help for that, though.

Rizzoli & Isles follows with “I Kissed a Girl.” When Jane isn’t doing her thing going undercover to investigate the apparent hate-crime murder of a woman who visited a lesbian bar, she gets fixed up with an attractive yoga teacher by Maura. Educated guess after watching every Rizzoli & Isles episode thus far: Jane’s latest hook-up won’t work out.

Hit Lifetime drama Army Wives is beginning preparations to wrap up its fourth season tonight, August 15, with a next-to-last episode featuring former FlashForward and Life star Gabrielle Union.

Titled “Murder in Charleston,” the installment helps set the stage for the upcoming Army Wives spinoff series revolving around character Pamela Moran (Brigid Brannagh). When Pamela and her partner Boone encounter a murder while on patrol, their subsequent arrest of a suspect brings Atlanta-based Detective Gina Holt (Union) to town to clear the suspect’s name and take her back to Georgia. However, Pamela and Gina end up accomplishing quite a bit together right in Charleston during Gina’s brief visit.
