Veteran Spy Drama’s Final Season
Basic-cable channel USA Network launches its Summer 2013 lineup tonight, June 6, with the Season 7 premiere of action-packed spy drama Burn Notice and the special extended debut of new crime drama Graceland.
Burn Notice kicks things off at 9pm ET with “New Deal,” the first fresh episode in the series’ final season. Although this means the summer run will be kind of bittersweet, viewers will at least be able to enjoy a lengthy 13-episode goodbye. The seventh season will conclude in late August if Burn Notice stays on schedule.
Newcomer Graceland begins at 10pm with a 73-minute pilot premiere. The crime drama stars familiar television actors Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me), Aaron Tveit (Gossip Girl), Vanessa Ferlito (CSI: NY), Brandon Jay McLaren (Falling Skies), Manny Montana (The Chicago Code), and Serinda Swan (Breakout Kings) as a group of DEA, FBI, and U.S. Customs undercover agents who share a home when off-duty. I can’t even begin to predict where the setup might lead.
Also Notable and New to TV on June 6: TNT reality series The Hero hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and 72 Hours debut at 8pm and 9pm, respectively. Plus, spooky BBC America zombie miniseries In the Flesh begins a three-night run at 10pm. The remaining two 75-minute episodes air on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, at the same time.
Burn Notice and Graceland will air Thursdays on USA at 9pm and 10pm ET, respectively
