Stargate Atlantis: ‘Outcast’ Preview
On the February 1st Episode…
Planet Earth and civilian attire (am I the only fan who likes to see the crew out of uniform and all dolled up in their civvies?) are on the itinerary when Lt. Colonel Sheppard takes personal leave to return home for a funeral, accompanied by Ronon Dex. While he’s there, he finds himself caught up in some choice espionage that involves Replicator technology gone haywire (again).
According to GateWorld, the go-to website for information about anything and everything Stargate-related (I seriously wonder why it wasn’t mentioned on Entertainment Weekly‘s recent list of the 25 Essential Fansites), the “Outcast” episode of Stargate Atlantis is based on a plot suggested by series star Joe Flanigan, who plays Sheppard. It’s no surprise then that the installment will feature details clarifying the backstory of his character, specifically regarding Sheppard’s strained relationship with his father, brother, and ex-wife.
As shown in the preview below, of particular interest to fans of the Canadian vampire series Blood Ties, which aired stateside on basic cable’s Lifetime, is guest star Dylan Neal. Neal portrayed my favorite character on Ties, sarcastic yet charming police detective Mike Celluci. It’s nothing less than a huge treat to see him once again on another excellent genre series.
Check out the preview for “Outcast” below that NBC Universal, Sci Fi Channel’s parent company, was so kind to give me to share with others. And don’t forget to tune in this Friday at 10pm EST to watch the entire episode.
