‘Southland’ Ends Sophomore Run – Will It Return?
That Is the Burning Question

Geesh! Southland‘s second season flew by lightning fast, which is bound to happen when there are only six measly episodes. So, already it’s time to catch the TNT drama’s Season Two finale “Maximum Deployment,” which premieres tonight, April 6, at 10pm ET.
As the sophomore run draws to a close — with still no word from TNT, official or otherwise, regarding a third-season renewal — Ben, Chickie, and John set out to track down and capture the cop-impersonating so-called Canyon Rapist; former partners Lydia and Russell reunite on the job to investigate a double murder; and Kimmy ruins her parents’ chill-out time when she spills the beans about her father Sal’s affair with television reporter Mia Sanchez.
Sneak a peek at the “Maximum Deployment” finale below and make sure to watch, especially if you want Southland to hang around the tube a little longer. Sounds like a great idea to me.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let there be more seasons for this first rate show.
I could not agree with you more, Barbara. TV will be a much better place with more seasons of Southland. Fingers crossed TNT comes to the rescue and renews the deserving show.
I am tired of seeing good series go under because of reality shows. THIS IS A GREAT SERIES and should be returned to it’s 3rd season and more.
I agree with you, Larry — Southland rocks. Thankfully, TNT thinks like us, too, because the network recently renewed the show for a third season of 10 episodes. Can’t wait for more action.
