‘Shark’ Note: Sunday Schedule Change

Programming Flip-Flop Delays Finale

Jeri Ryan and James Woods/Shark

Like Shark? If so and you, along with me, were planning to tune in to this Sunday’s episode of the James Woods legal drama because you heard it would be the writers strike-induced season finale, then I’ve got some (good) news for you.

Due to the persistent football coverage on broadcast TV, CBS has changed its schedule, replacing the previously announced finale with a repeat of the second-season premiere “Gangster Movies.” Moreover, the series will come on a half-hour later, at 10:30pm EST rather than the customary 10pm.

Nice. Unfortunately, however, there’s no word yet when that postponed premature finale will air. And, make no mistake, it will air since there’s only one installment of Shark left on the shelf and the writers strike seems to have no end in sight.

Shark currently airs Sundays on CBS at 10pm EST

  1. oh well, maybe it’s good 4 Jeri if the strike lasts a while longer?
She is due in March, maybe [at least for her] it is good timing to be off work?

  2. Excellent point about Jeri Ryan. At least that’s one cast member who’ll benefit from a prolonged strike. If only it was a good thing for fans of scripted TV shows, too.
