See Ya on November 12, Fellow ‘Battlestar Galactica’ Fans

I’m In for the Boston Razor Advance Screening

Battlestar Galactica: Razor Screening How cool is this? As attentive Battlestar Galactica fans know, Sci Fi Channel opened a registration Web site last Friday giving the public the opportunity to score a place at free special advance screenings of the forthcoming two-hour event Battlestar Galactica: Razor. The big-screen previews will take place on Monday, November 12, a whopping two weeks before the movie hits small screens everywhere on November 24. The extended Razor DVD streets just ten days after that, on December 4.

All interested parties had to do was visit the Battlestar Event site, choose their preferred city, and provide the requested details. Each of the eight regions listed—Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle—has at least two theaters to select from and each of those venues will host two nighttime screenings.

As of this writing, it’s not too late to register for select showings, including the 7pm and 10pm slots at Century 16 in Deer Park, Illinois; the 7pm and 10pm slots at Riverview Plaza 17 in Philadelphia; and almost all of the twelve showings scheduled for the San Francisco area except the two at Century 9 San Francisco Centre.

A network press release describes Battlestar Galactica: Razor thus: “Written by Michael Taylor and directed by Emmy nominee Felix Alcala, Razor tells the story of Lee Adama’s (Jamie Bamber) first mission as commander of the Battlestar Pegasus and will reveal the story of how Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) served her ship during the original Cylon attack on the Colonies.”

Thanks, Sci Fi! I look forward to meeting some of my fellow BSG devotees on November 12 during Boston’s 7pm screening at Regal Fenway 13.
