Sci Fi Mini-Series ‘Tin Man’ Begins
Welcome to the Surreal World of O.Z.
Tonight, Sci Fi Channel presents the first of three two-hour installments of its original fantasy mini-series Tin Man, a twisted take on L. Frank Baum’s classic children’s fantasy book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the later timeless musical The Wizard of Oz starring a young Judy Garland.
I know many Bones fans are psyched about the film because it stars Zooey Deschanel, the sister of Emily Deschanel, who plays Dr. Temperance Brennan on the hit Fox procedural. But, the junior Deschanel isn’t the only aspect of this television event’s huge appeal factor.
The other main cast members, notable talents all, are Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss as omniscient Mystic Man, Kathleen Robertson as wicked Sorceress Azkadellia, Alan Cumming as dimwitted Glitch, Neil McDonough as policeman Cain, and Raoul Trujillo as manimal Raw. While other viewers will surely watch for different main attractions, I’m tuning in primarily for Cumming since I always enjoy his performances.
Catch the opening episode’s premiere tonight at 9pm EST. Parts two and three will debut on Monday and Tuesday night, respectively. And, if you can’t make the premieres, no worries. Sci Fi Channel will repeat each part twice immediately afterwards at 11pm and 1am for a three-peat.
For now, I’ve got a trailer below and lots of nice pictures, too. Enjoy.

That’s not Emily Deschanel, it’s ZOOEY DESCHANEL, her sister!
Right you are, Sadie, about the photo caption. Thankfully, I got the details correct in the text, though.
