‘Rubicon’ Officially Premieres
Paranoid Conspiracy Series Sizzles
If you didn’t catch the June 13 sneak preview of AMC’s suspenseful new conspiracy series Rubicon, then tonight (August 1) is your chance to watch the “Gone in the Teeth” series premiere again when the drama officially launches its first season at 8pm ET.
A second fresh episode called “The First Day of School” follows the series opener at 9pm, and the AMC original moves to its regular time slot of 9pm beginning next Sunday, August 8.
Lucky me, I checked out the early June 13 airing, so I’m pleased to recommend Rubicon, especially to folks who enjoy a tense show that achieves an intriguing slow burn. Although “Gone in the Teeth” starts out slow, the twisted plot eventually picks up speed when a whole lot of intrigue and a few suspicious deaths are thrown into the mix.
Rubicon stars The Black Donnellys and 24 alum James Badge Dale as ace code cracker Will Travers, a gloomy — with good reason — intelligence analyst at the American Policy Institute. His world turns even more upside down than it already is when the unexpected death of someone close to him begins to reveal just how complicated and dangerous his chosen profession is.
Learn a bit about the gist and feel of the new series in the behind-the-scenes video and trailer below, then check out Rubicon for yourself during the special two-hour official debut. I’m pretty sure I’ll be following this show for as long as it’s around.
