The current writers strike ain’t no joke. As a result of the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers’ failure to reach an agreement regarding revenue from new and digital media, fall TV shows are shutting down like there’s no tomorrow, which is pretty much true at the moment when it comes to the new scripts required to begin filming fresh episodes. Read on to learn which shows are ending their fall seasons early in January 2008 due to the strike and when (all times are EST).

January 4 | Friday

  • Women’s Murder Club: 1st-Season Finale, 9:02pm, ABC

January 6 | Sunday

  • Desperate Housewives: 4th-Season Finale, 9pm, ABC
  • Shark: 2nd-Season Finale, 10pm, CBS [Schedule Change: The second-season premiere “Gangster Movies” will air at 10:30pm instead due to football game]

January 9 | Wednesday

  • Gossip Girl: 1st-Season Finale, 9pm, The CW

January 10 | Thursday

  • My Name Is Earl: 3rd-Season Finale, 8pm, NBC
  • 30 Rock: 2nd-Season Finale, 8:30pm, NBC
  • Grey’s Anatomy: 4th-Season Finale, 9pm, ABC

January 14 | Monday

  • CSI: Miami: 6th-Season Finale, 10pm, CBS

January 15 | Tuesday

  • NCIS: 5th-Season Finale, 8pm, CBS

January 17 | Thursday

  • ER: 14th-Season Finale, 10:01pm, NBC

January 18 | Friday

  • Moonlight: 1st-Season Finale, 9pm, CBS
