Rescue Me: Downtime Minisodes Begin
Watch and Stay Interested
Not too long ago, FX announced the network has something “special” in store for fans of Denis Leary‘s Rescue Me, which won’t return with regular fresh episodes until next year, unfortunately.
To keep viewers engaged and to help prevent them from forgetting about the series, FX will air ten original, standalone minisodes featuring the cast members we’ve all come to know and love/loathe.
Each five-minute short will debut on the tube and then become available at various online video-sharing websites the next day, including Crackle, MySpace, and YouTube.
The party gets started tonight on FX at 10pm EST sharp with the premiere minisode “Fast.” I’m kind of looking forward to seeing how this new “branching” of Rescue Me will take shape, so I’ll definitely be tuning in, especially since nothing else worth watching will be on at that time.
The dog days of summer indeed — thank goodness for Netflix and affordable TV on DVD boxed sets!
Rescue Me minisodes currently air Tuesdays on FX at 10pm EST
