Anyone who needs a little (or a lotta) mystery in their summer can turn to ABC Family on Tuesdays starting tonight, June 11. Hit drama Pretty Little Liars opens its fourth season at 8pm ET, and the official debut of newcomer Twisted follows at 9pm.

Our beleaguered little Rosewood liars face more tension and questions than ever in the summer premiere “A is for A-l-i-v-e.” Not only are they dying to learn what devious fastball A will hurl at them next, but now they must also count annoying Mona (Janel Parrish) as a compadre of sorts given recent events.

ABC Family offered viewers an early sample of Twisted on March 19 when the network aired the pilot episode nearly three months early. That same premiere repeats tonight, so it might be an encore experience for a good chunk of the audience.

Twisted stars Avan Jogia (Caprica) as 16-year-old Danny Desai, who has already spent five years — or nearly a third of his life — in a juvenile detention facility when the series opens. Danny is just starting to reestablish his relationships with his mother Karen (Denise Richards, Blue Mountain State) and his two best friends, Jo (Maddie Hasson, The Finder) and Lacey (Kylie Bunbury, The Sitter), when a student at his school turns up dead. Guess who everyone thinks killed her.

Other Notable Teen TV on June 11: MTV comedy Awkward, now in the middle of its third season, goes on hiatus after the 10pm summer finale “Redefining Jenna” and the 10:30pm special “Aftershow. You’re Welcome.” Another special presentation, “Awkward’s Most Awkward Moments,” airs one week later, on June 18 at 10pm.

Pretty Little Liars and Twisted will air Tuesdays on ABC Family at 8pm and 9pm ET, respectively
