Praising the Many Virtues of ‘Dirty Sexy Money’
The Best New Fall Show You’re Probably Not Watching
When I sat down last Wednesday night to check out ABC’s new soapy drama Dirty Sexy Money, the only expectations I had involved getting bored and turning the channel after 10 or 15 minutes. You can imagine my surprise, then, when I found myself not just interested, but downright intrigued as the series premiere progressed.
Yet surprisingly, considering how good the show was, I haven’t heard too much of anybody talking about it or giving it some of that all-important buzz the networks crave so much. That’s where enlightened TV watchers like me come in.
After you check out tonight’s premiere of what is arguably the season’s most buzzed-about new show—pie-loving Pushing Daisies, of course—make sure to tune back to ABC at 10pm (I’m not assuming that anyone will be hanging around for the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice at 9pm following last week’s sopping wet premiere, although hordes of brainwashed viewers will) for the sinfully delightful Dirty Sexy Money.
If you do, you’ll get:
- Rich people
- Beautiful people
- Ugly people
- Dirty people
- Dirty secrets
- Deceitful lies
- Donald Sutherland
- Jill Clayburgh
- Six Feet Under‘s Peter Krause
- Alec Baldwin’s younger brother William
- Degenerate sex
- Regular sex
- Drugs
- Murder
- Mystery
- Money to burn
- And a profane, bullying reverend (Glenn Fitzgerald) as a bonus!
Tell me—what’s not to love?
Dirty Sexy Money currently airs Wednesdays on ABC at 10:01pm EST
