OnTV: A Heaping Helping of ‘The Office’

Two Is Better Than One Serving at ‘Office’ Time

The Office Who doesn’t like back-to-back episodes of loved shows, especially when both installments are just as fresh as new fallen snow (how’s that for season-appropriate imagery?)? Well, tonight, fans of The Office are gonna get a double dose of their favorite fix during NBC’s extended presentation of “A Benihana Christmas.” Yes, this means no My Name Is Earl this week, but that’s only fair payback since last week there was no Office during Earl‘s special twofer.

Animal, Meatball, Ghostbuster, Caddyshack, and Groundhog Harold Ramis takes the director’s reins for The Office‘s unique celebration of Christmas as boss Michael Scott (Steve Carell) finds himself in trouble yet again, this time with his girlfriend Carol (played by Nancy Walls, Carell’s real-life wife), after distributing a Christmas card that everyone but him realizes is inappropriate. In the office itself, tensions arise, as well—between the ladies, who, in some kind of cosmic mix-up (because it’s usually the guys who can’t get their act together on the show, right?), suffer a gigantic, sniveling, divisive hissy fit over the party at work and end up fractioning the annual holiday “festivities.” Sounds like loads of fun, doesn’t it?
