OnTV: ‘American Idol’ Returns
The Ultra Popular Reality Series Comes Back to Single-Handedly Slay the Competition
What else is there to say about American Idol, Fox’s singing competition behemoth, which returns tonight at 8pm EST for a two-hour sixth-season-premiere extravaganza of sensational aspiring vocal artists (hopefully) and—best of all, in my opinion—atrociously awful will-never-be’s? Not much, so sit back, relax, and chose your own favorites from Minneapolis, Minnesota, while steadfastly ignoring annoying host Ryan Seacrest and considering the alternatively welcome and irrelevant advice of ace judges Paula “I’m Perfectly Sane and Sober” Abdul, Simon “Everybody Sucks (Unless I Say They Don’t)” Cowell, and Randy “Dope Dawg Dude” Jackson. Also, don’t forget that the auditions continue tomorrow/Wednesday night in Seattle, Washington—same time, same channel, same setup.
