November 2007 Sweeps – Day 27: Dancing, Dancing, Dancing

Will House or Dancing Stars Lead Tonight?

Hugh Laurie/House

The next-to-last night of the November 2007 Sweeps period is here, TV watchers, and there’s no doubt it will be swept by two longtime heavyweights: that grumpy House guy over on Fox and ABC’s fifth-season Dancing with the Stars finale. But, which one is gonna win it all? Hmmm…

The final three standing on the Alphabet Network’s super popular dance competition are singer Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown, racecar driver Helio Castroneves, and entertainer Marie Osmond. Last night, each celebrity performed a freestyle routine, along with a Cha Cha (Melanie Brown and Maksim Chmerkovskiy), Jive (Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough), and Samba (Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts).

Considering the high quality of all the contestants this time around, the ultimate winner could be either finalist and not many would complain. Tune in to the two-hour live results show on ABC at 9pm EST to find out for yourself who triumphs.

Other Day 27 Events

  • ABC
    • A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS—ABC is spreading a little more animated holiday cheer with another seasonal Peanuts classic. [8pm EST]
  • FX
    • NIP/TUCK—John Schneider (Smallville, The Dukes of Hazzard) stops by to play a—Ahhh! My eyes! My eyes!—porn mogul with the semi-dirty name Ram Peters. [10pm EST]
  • Fox
    • BONES—Give us a kiss! Bones and Booth might finally give fans what they’ve been wanting for ages when the two partners in crime-fighting lock lips, if only momentarily and under mistletoe. [8pm EST]
    • HOUSE—It’s decision time! Doc Cuddy forces Doc House to stop playing around and choose his new team already. [9pm EST]
  • NBC
    • LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT—The guest stars are slamming on tonight’s SVU, as is the plot, literally. (Have you seen the promos with Olivia and Elliot’s wife driving together? If so, you know exactly what I mean.) Steven Bauer (Traffic, Scarface) plays a murdered woman’s suspicious Internet Romeo, while Anastasia Griffith (Damages) and Mark Valley (Boston Legal, Keen Eddie) portray her equally questionable married employers. With temporary cast members like that, maybe I won’t figure out who did it in the first five minutes this time. [10pm EST]
  • TLC
    • LONDON INK—Tattoo-loving Miami Ink gets a companion series based in England’s most famous city. Louis Molloy of David Beckham tat fame is the head skin artist. [8pm EST]
