Samantha Who?, Is That You?

Samantha Who? | 8pm
The Rock Star: Christina Applegate’s lovable amnesiac Samantha Newly is back for a summer run of seven episodes (I think). Although the sophomore sitcom is canceled, you’ve got to give it props for somehow snagging Duran Duran member John Taylor (that’s the tall one who plays the bass) to guest as — I would not tell a lie — a rock star. And, yes, that would be a rock star whom Samantha dates. Girl gets around for someone who claims to have lost her memory. Maybe I should go knock myself upside the head.

In the Motherhood | 8:30pm
Shepfather: I personally don’t think this axed rookie sitcom based on the web series of the same name is all that funny, but I still love cast members Megan Mullaly, Cheryl Hines, and Jessica St. Clair. There are only three of seven episodes left to air, so catch ‘em while they’re here.

Burn Notice | 9pm
Fearless Leader: NYPD Blue veteran Nicholas Turturro guest stars on an episode that finds Michael doing whatever he must to get the Miami heat out of his hair, and I don’t mean the pro basketball team either.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey | 9pm
Watch What Happens Reunion, Part Two: No, I absolutely, positively do not watch. But considering all of the chatter about the show, I figure lots of people do. So, this mention of this special’s conclusion is for them, definitely not me. I missed the first mention of Part One a couple of days ago on June 23 because, well, I didn’t care as much then. *wink*

Penn & Teller: Bullshit! | 10pm
Orgasms: You know what I love about this show? How so many media outlets mangle the title with unnecessary substitute symbols and whatnot just to avoid the word “bullshit.” Honestly, does that still count as naughty language? What’s better about “bullsh!t” or “bull”?
Anyhoo, the magician team of Penn Jillette and just plain Teller launch their exposé series’ 10-episode seventh season with a premiere all about the O-zone. Note the hyphen in the last word because it makes all the difference, just like the exclamation mark in “bullsh!t” doesn’t.

Royal Pains | 10pm
TB or Not TB: Guest star Callie Thorne is bringing some of the heat over from her regular FX gig Rescue Me during her appearance as a chef who has a stroke and then promptly vanishes.

On Thursday June 25th on a sort of late night show someone said something like: “You have to do something to do something.” Who said this and what was the exact quote?
