More Robin Sparkles, Anyone?

How I Met Your Mother

Monday | April 21

Gossip Girl: OMFG! After a writers strike-induced hiatus and a controversial ad campaign, the young-adult soap returns for more backstabbing and shenanigans with “The Blair Bitch Project.” Love that title! [8pm EST/The CW]

How I Met Your Mother: OMFG! Robin Sparkles is back!!! And she’s got a brand-new video, too, called “Sandcastles in the Sand.” [8:30pm EST/CBS]

Tuesday | April 22

Reaper: The Devil returns to put Sam and his best buds through more hell. Nice. [9pm EST/The CW]

A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila: I don’t watch this reality series, but I recently read a TV Guide interview with the star, who comes across the exact opposite of what I expected. She seems together and for real, two traits that aren’t very prominent among people who appear on this kind of show. Good for her. The second season debuts. [10pm EST/MTV]

Wednesday | April 23

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: This is the second-season finale, and I didn’t even know the second season had started. Or at least I forgot. Seriously — I’ve got to start giving these reality shows a little more respect before I embarrass myself with how little I pay attention to them. After all, they are TV, too, right? Yeah, whatever… [9pm EST/The CW]

Law & Order: The series is finally back with fresh episodes! I have a *huge* TV crush on Michael Cutter, the ADA played by Linus Roache, and I was beginning to go into withdrawal every Wednesday night at 10. This is also the final episode — for now? forever? — for Jesse L. Martin‘s much-loved Detective Edward Green. Thankfully, funnyman and kick-ass actor Anthony Anderson steps in to provide viewers a little relief from the sadness of Martin’s departure. [10pm EST/NBC]

Men in Trees: The last new episode of the most mistreated show on primetime television airs before the series disappears indefinitely … again. If you’re a fan, pray you’ll be able to find it when/if it returns. The date is currently listed as May 28 — same day, same time — but who knows? [10pm EST/ABC]

South Park: Those nasty little brats are calling it a midseason. [10pm EST/Comedy Central]

Thursday | April 24

Ugly Betty: New episodes kick in again. [8pm EST/ABC]

Scrubs: A time-slot switch with 30 Rock means the sitcom now comes on one hour and one minute earlier. [8:30pm EST/NBC]

Grey’s Anatomy: Another ABC series starts airing fresh episodes once more. [9pm EST/ABC]

Supernatural: Oh, I can’t believe I/we made it! New episodes at last! Check out a few previews for the first one, “Ghostfacers,” in my previous post. [9pm EST/The CW]

30 Rock: And, following the time-slot switch with Scrubs mentioned earlier, Fey & Company now come on exactly one hour and one minute later. [9:31pm EST/NBC]

Miami Ink: Season Four of the body-art series premieres. [10pm EST/TLC]

Lost: What a way to cap off a night — new episodes of the best not-so-deserted island show on the tube. [10:02pm EST/ABC]

Friday | April 25

Moonlight: The week just keeps getting better and better. Pretty Mick and Beth tackle new adventures for us vamp lovers. [9pm EST/CBS]

Saturday | April 26

Robin Hood: A second season of fair maidens and daring men in tights begins. [9pm EST/BBC America]

Sunday | April 27

Big Brother: The end is here, at least for the current ninth season. [8pm EST/CBS]

Aliens in America: After several weeks of repeats, it’s nice to get some original Aliens again. [8:30pm EST/The CW]

State of the Union: Bye-bye, Tracey Ullman. The first season of her new series comes to a close. [10pm EST/Showtime]
