Chuck Gets a New Spook

Monday | March 30
Lovely and talented Battlestar Galactica vet and Season Two Burn Notice regular Tricia Helfer joins the cast of NBC’s Chuck for one episode — for now — as “heartless” Agent Alex Forrest, called in to Cali to review Sarah’s performance as Chuck’s handler. Repeat after me: Most awesome guest star of the week.
[Chuck Versus the Broken Heart, NBC, 8pm]
ABC Family’s winning college dramedy Greek returns to complete its second season, with new multi-episode player Jesse McCartney in tow. Although the midseason is starting, summer is just ending for the Cyprus-Rhodes University college crowd, and the students are actually beginning a new school year.
[Take Me Home Cyprus Rhodes, ABC Family, 8pm]
Tuesday | March 31
The highly anticipated reboot of the short-lived 1998–1999 series that starred Entourage‘s Jeremy Piven kicks off with new lead Bobby Cannavale, an Emmy winner for his guest stint on Will & Grace, in the role of Trevor Pierce, aka the titular Cupid.
[Pilot, ABC, 10:02pm]
Season Three of My Boys begins, so maybe now fans will learn what happened after Bobby realized too late that P.J. is/was involved with his brother Jack, played by Twilight‘s Billy Burke.
[Welcome Back, Kalla Fotter, TBS, 10:30pm]
Wednesday | April 1
It’s a second-season finale for Damages, and although the third season was ordered long ago, I’m still dying to find out just which cast members will survive to come back. You never know with this one — people drop dead left and right. Note that the episode is currently (forever?) untitled and The finale “Trust Me” will run about 30 minutes long, making it approximately 90 minutes instead of the usual hour or so.
[Trust Me, FX, 10pm]
Bye-bye, Life on Mars. I wasn’t a fan of the American adaptation of the U.K. show, but fans won’t want to miss the series finale. Life is a rock, indeed, and then you get canceled.
[Life Is a Rock, ABC, 10:02pm]
The ridiculous yet hilarious improvised cop mockumentary Reno 911! opens its sixth season with two new players arriving and at least two old regulars departing. Niecy Nash, she of the failed Fox sitcom Do Not Disturb, isn’t one of the latter, by the way.
[Training Day, Comedy Central, 10:30pm]
Thursday | April 2
Can you believe CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has produced 200 episodes? I can, and this one makes the hallmark a reality. Nice accomplishment for a show that’s still going strong in its ninth season.
[Mascara, CBS, 9pm]
Can you believe NBC’s medical drama ER ran for 15 seasons, produced 331 episodes, and spawned one ginormous movie star? I can, and the series finale is a an appropriately super-sized two hours, featuring the return of many past cast standouts, including Noah Wyle‘s Dr. John Carter.
[And in the End…, NBC, 9pm]
Nobody talks about rookie science-crime procedural Eleventh Hour much, but it performs well enough ratings-wise. There’s still no word on whether or not it will see a sophomore run, however, so don’t miss the first-season finale if you’re a fan, as am I.
[Medea, CBS, 10pm]
Friday | April 3
This is the one where Echo and her fellow Actives finally come to their senses, or at least regain (some of) their memories (temporarily?), which could make for pretty exciting times around the old Dollhouse.
[Needs, Fox, 9:01pm]
Sunday | April 5
In Treatment: Season Two begins.
[Mia - Week One, HBO, 9pm]
The Tudors: Season Three begins.
[Episode 301, Showtime, 9pm]
United States of Tara: Season One closes, with a second one already ordered.
[Miracle, Showtime, 10pm]
