Notable TV (Apr 6 – Apr 12)
Well, Hello Again, Rescue Me!

Monday | April 6
Chuck: Quantum Leap‘s Scott Bakula and Saturday Night Live‘s Chevy Chase report for guest-star duty.
[Chuck Versus the Dream Job, NBC, 8pm]
Surviving Suburbia: How I Met Your Mother and Full House‘s Bob Saget has a new sitcom about a grumpy, married father of two trying to get by in the suburbs.
[Hero, ABC, 9:32pm]
Tuesday | April 7
Rescue Me: After a nearly 19-month interval since the September 12, 2007 last new full-length episode, the firefighter dramedy with flare begins its 22-episode super-sized fifth season.
[Baptism, FX, 10pm]
Trust Me: Following a special brand-new episode at 9pm, it’s a first-season finale for TNT’s dull advertising-industry dramedy. Is anyone still watching?
[The More Things Change, TNT, 10pm]
Wednesday | April 8
Life: My favorite crime dramedy currently airing closes its second and likely last season. I’m sad, but at least The Sarah Connor Chronicle‘s Garret Dillahunt will return to reprise his role as wicked Russian crook Roman Nevikov.
[One, NBC, 9pm]
The Unusuals: One cop dramedy ends and another begins, this one starring Joan of Arcadia‘s Amber Tamblyn and Lost‘s Harold Perrineau as detectives who are members of a most unusual New York City cop squad. I’ve got high hopes for this one, so I hope it doesn’t fail.
[Pilot, ABC, 10:02pm]
Thursday | April 9
Parks and Recreation: Saturday Night Live alumna Amy Poehler and The Office‘s Rashida Jones head up this new workplace mockumentary based in boring Pawnee, Indiana. I predict the comedy will be much more interesting than its setting.
[Pilot, NBC, 8:30pm]
Harper’s Island: Who doesn’t like a good, old-fashioned murder mystery? The first season of this new 13-week drama set on a remote island for a wedding event will offer dead bodies and spooky suspense galore during its run.
[Whap, CBS, 10pm]
Southland: Thursday is a hotbed of series premieres, including this gritty West Coast cop drama starring The O.C.‘s Benjamin McKenzie as a rookie officer unsure if he’s able to withstand the demands of his dangerous chosen profession.
[Unknown Trouble, NBC, 10pm]
Friday | April 10
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Garret Dillahunt surfaces again, this time as an eerie robot with uncommon intelligence, in the second season and likely series finale of a show I happen to really like. Fingers crossed this isn’t the end.
[Born to Run, Fox, 8pm]
Friday Night Lights: The third season completes its broadcast NBC run with two more seasons already ordered. Lucky show!
[Tomorrow Blues, NBC, 9pm]
Sunday | April 12
State of the Union: Tracey Ullman and her many characters are back for a sophomore season of America-focused satire.
[Episode 201, Showtime, 10pm]
