Next on July 13 ‘HawthoRNe’ and ‘Memphis Beat’
Post-Hookup Dilemmas and BBQ

If you watched the last episode of TNT medical drama HawthoRNe, you’ll have no difficulty understanding what “Afterglow,” the title of the new July 13 episode, refers to, at least in part.
Now that nurse Christina and doctor Tom have finally hooked up after so much waiting, it’s time to deal with the ethics of giving an inmate on death row surgery to help save his life. When it comes to contradictions, that situation is a definite whopper. And, of course, it will cause much strife among the staff members at already overwhelmed James River Hospital.
Meanwhile, Christina will have to cope with her personal qualms about the future of her relationship with Tom, even as he struggles to recover from the injuries he received as a result of the car accident in the previous episode.
Following HawthoRNe at 10pm ET is terrific newcomer Memphis Beat. During the latest fresh installment called “Polk Salad Annie,” detective partners Dwight and Whitehead investigate an unsuccessful murder attempt. The intended victim is a well-known so-called BBQ king, and his predicament requires Sutton to do a little undercover work while posing as a ladies man. Can’t wait to see DJ Qualls pretending to be that.
Unfortunately, I’ve got bubkes for sneak peeks this week. TNT failed to upload a Memphis Beat preview for the second episode in a row, and the video available for HawthoRNe doesn’t display properly, probably because of changes the network recently made to its website. Better luck next week.
HawthoRNe and Memphis Beat currently air Tuesdays on TNT at 9pm and 10pm ET, respectively
