Things Change Fast

Welcome back from the long U.S. holiday weekend. To help TV fans get into the swing of things again, TNT original series HawthoRNe presents the fresh episode “Road Narrows” on July 6 at 9pm ET.

The latest installment of the sophomore medical drama is a bit of a downer, with a nice little uplifting surprise at the end. When Tom and his friend and fellow doctor Paul are outside the hospital shooting the breeze one workday, a car appears out of nowhere and mows them both down, as well as numerous other people out and about. As if James River hospital wasn’t already overwhelmed.

Of course, the tragedy puts the hospital’s emergency room into overdrive, and Tom and Paul — both seriously injured — are left with the fate of their respective careers hanging on the line. Elsewhere, Candy returns unexpectedly from her military service in Afghanistan, and Kelly is assigned to the young boy who was in the car that caused the accident. Good thing, too, because she’s the perfect nurse to help the child cope with a very big secret concerning the catastrophe.

Sneak a peek at several choice scenes from “Road Narrows” in the video below. The episode may focus on a great deal of heartache for the most part, but at least the ending will leave many fans with something to remain excited about until the following installment. In other words, it’s not all bad and sad.
