You know you’ve been a TV fan for a long, long time when you look at the list of a show’s latest guest stars and get excited when you see the name Deborah Van Valkenburgh. For the uninformed, that’s the actress who starred as Jackie Rush on the 1980–1985 Ted Knight sitcom Too Close for Comfort. Talk about golden oldies…
Van Valkenburgh plays a character named Madame Greta on Ghost Whisperer‘s brand-new March 12 episode “Old Sins Cast Long Shadows” (8pm ET).
The action focuses on a young girl named Cassidy (Joey King, CSI), whose soul is hot property among the familiar “dark forces” that inhabit the spirit world. So, it’s a given that Cassidy is going to be very grateful she has Melinda on her side after our favorite spirit communicator attends an estate sale that leads her to the haunted house where the girl is a long-time prisoner.
Also guest starring on “Old Sins Cast Long Shadows” are CSI and The O.C. alumna Melinda Clarke as Donna and Sons of Anarchy cast member Dendrie Taylor as Naomi.

Maria, if you have basic cable, you can still catch Ghost Whisperer in syndication on Syfy (click this link for info — right now, four episodes of the series air regularly on Mondays from 7pm to 11pm ET). I know it’s not the same as the show getting another season on CBS, but it’s better than nothing. Some of us will take Jennifer Love Hewitt & Company however we can get them.
