Loving ‘Louie’ Already
New FX Comedy Has a Debut Date

FX may be targeting men with its well-advised upcoming summer pairing of firefighter staple Rescue Me and comedy newcomer Louie, but I’m one woman who’s definitely going to dig the testosterone-heavy lineup, too.
The basic-cable network announced today that both series will begin their summer run on Tuesday, June 29. Venerable Rescue Me‘s sixth and next-to-last season will kick off the programming block at 10pm ET, followed by the rookie series at 11pm.
FX really rolled out the hilarious Louie promos during Monday’s Damages third-season finale (please let there be more Glenn and Rose!), which only reminded me how much I’m looking forward to the new series. Easygoing star Louis C.K. (aka Szekely) is a hoot and a half — and quite easy to relate to — as the following Louie clips clearly demonstrate.
For those not in the know, Louie features C.K. in the role of a New York-based comedian who has established a successful career in stand-up comedy, exactly like the entertainer himself. A single father of two girls, he injects his humor into his observations about everyday life among us common people.
The actor is also a director, executive producer and writer for the show, which counts as pretty darn impressive in my book. Learn more about C.K. at his official website and get psyched for June 29. I already am.
Louie will air Tuesdays on FX at 11pm ET
