The Nastiest Medical Drama on TV Is Back
You can take the description “nasty” so many ways when it comes to Nip/Tuck, I’ll just let readers decide which connotation works best for them individually. In case you missed the news last week, those bad plastic surgery boys Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) have returned to the small screen, and now they’re poised to do a number on Hollywood.
The fifth-season premiere “Carly Summers” landed last Tuesday, and it did a fine job introducing a slew of new characters played by a slew of fine guest stars, including Lauren Hutton (Central Park West), Bradley Cooper (Alias), Tia Carrere (Relic Hunter), Daphne Zuniga (Beautiful People, American Dreams), and Oliver Platt (The Bronx Is Burning, Huff, The West Wing).
Tonight’s second episode, “Joyce & Sharon Monroe,” will feature a visit from Sean’s ex-wife Julia (Joely Richardson), who’ll bring along a whopper of a surprise with her. Wanna know what it is? Me, too, which is why I’ll be tuning in tonight along with everyone else. For the moment, though, you can catch a brief glimpse of what’s to come with the following preview clip.
