Henry Simmons Newest ‘Shark’ Regular

Hit CBS Legal Drama Promotes the NYPD Blue Alum to Full-Time Status

Henry Simmons The very first moment I saw Henry Simmons pop up in the second episode of James Woods’ new legal drama Shark as soon-to-be former policeman Isaac Wright, I knew it was a match-up that had enormous potential. Apparently, CBS execs agreed with me because following Simmons’ recurring appearances after that installment—which was appropriately titled LAPD Blue—they’ve decided to promote the dashing NYPD Blue alum (Detective Baldwin Jones from 2000 to 2005) to a regular cast member of the freshman hit. This is excellent, excellent news for a talented black actor who deserves maximum exposure in a popular series, and he surely will not let fans down.

Shark currently airs Thursdays at 10pm EST on CBS
