Guest Stars Galore on ‘Human Target’ Season Finale

All About Christopher Chance

Jackie Earle Haley, Mark Valley, Chi McBride/Human Target

It gives me great sadness to announce that Human Target, one of my two current favorite TV shows (the other is ABC’s Castle), ends its too-short first season at 8pm ET on April 14, with nary a renewal announcement from Fox. The upside is that tonight’s fresh episode “Christopher Chance” features a whole slew of fantastic guest stars.

Angel, Alias, and Dollhouse veteran and upcoming Happy Town star Amy Acker, perpetual movie and television villain Armand Assante, former Jericho and The Prisoner 2.0 cast member Lennie James, Six Million Dollar Man icon Lee Majors, AND Judging Amy alum and current Psych regular Timothy Omundson all drop by one of the best series on the tube to help give Human Target‘s freshman run a fitting — and revealing — finale.

The plot is simple: After the man who initiated Chance into his life of fighting baddies attempts to lure Chance back under his wing, a series of flashbacks finally show viewers how Chance came to join forces with his “business” partners Winston and Guerrero in the first place.

I don’t even have to say how spectacular and satisfying this episode is going to be. Fox had better announce a Season Two pickup soon or my boycott will begin.

Sneak an exclusive Web peek at “Christopher Chance” below, courtesy of Hulu. The clip reveals that Acker plays Katherine, the woman Chance’s old boss ordered him to kill in his earlier days. Superb casting.

  1. Excellent episode. Christopher Chance = Dread Pirate Roberts + The List of Adrian Messenger. Also, I think Katherine may be mostly dead (but not completely dead).

I really enjoy this series. Chi McBride and Mark Valley are always wonderful, I was very impressed by Jackie Earle Haley.

Come on, FOX, renew this series!

    1. Hiya, Morjana! I’m a bad girl since I haven’t watched the finale episode yet. Plan to catch it this weekend, with a big bowl of yummy ice cream to make the experience even sweeter.

I agree, though, that the entire cast is just awesome. I love Mark (wouldn’t mind seeing Keen Eddie revived, either), Chi, Jackie, all of the guest stars, and the magnificent chemistry between everyone.

Human Target is true TV entertainment, the kind that makes you forget about real life for 43 minutes or so during each episode. If Fox doesn’t renew it, I’ll be **extremely** angry. :(

    2. I agree great show lots of questions left to answer no rush to do it // rethink adding or changing cast think about all other shows that did this early edition/ 24/ criminal minds please mandy patinkin to get montegna yuk just keep watching it due to the content and story line and rest of cast //also try to get networks to stop rerunning so stuff there are so many old shows in vaults we should not have to watch braveheart every week or charmed or well u get it what about rat patrol/ garrisonsons gorillas/ highway to heaven// the magician look them up most of the 56 yr olds dont do week ends out want rates up ive seen little house reruns so much i can recite them

thanks eveyone for letting me get this out in open

      1. Thanks for sharing your opinion, Debbie. If Fox doesn’t renew Human Target, I’m going to be very upset. It has so much potential for a terrific second season. I hear certain Fox executives with clout really support the show, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign for us fans.
