New Photos Give Viewers a Reason to Get Excited
If you’re a Grey’s Anatomy fan wondering about the likelihood that doctors Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) and Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) will tie the knot before the end of the third current season, perhaps it’s time to stop worrying. Christina’s clear preference to seal the deal at City Hall aside, pictures posted at Just Jared indicate there will be no intimate, quiet exchange of vows in a dank, drab government office involved.
Instead, in the photos taken during shoots for the forthcoming May season finale, fellow Seattle Grace Hospital docs Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Isobel “Izzie” Stevens (Katherine Heigl) look dazzling (and cold) as a traditionally dressed maid of honor and bridesmaid, respectively. Busy, angst-ridden career women don’t get dolled up like that just to attend a humdrum event at a garden-variety office building, which bodes well for a big to-do for Christina and Preston … or somebody.
Now just place your bets on whether the wedding ceremony will conclude without a hitch, or will some season-ending catastrophe strike, forcing viewers to hold their collective breath over the long summer hiatus to follow? Anything could happen in the Burktina-verse (how I hate that composite name, so I think I’ll stop using it now).
