‘Eureka’ Second-Season Finale Tonight
You’re Invited to “A Night at Global Dynamics”
If there’s one series on television right now that I can imagine still loving for years to come based on the sheer appeal of its cast and storylines, then Sci Fi Channel’s Eureka is it. In addition to having the admirable distinction of being among only a few TV shows that include more or less serious science on a regular basis, the sophomore dramedy also consistently demonstrates some of the strongest, funniest, and cleverest writing on the tube. Viewers have to stay on their toes to get the most out of an episode of Eureka, and the effort is very, very much worth it.
Thankfully, the Sci Fi Channel agrees, as demonstrated by its announcement last week that street-smart Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson), book-smart and beautiful Allison Blake (Salli Richardson), handyman extraordinaire Henry Deacon (Joe Morton), and the rest of Eureka’s endearing if strange residents will return next year for a third go-round. Yes!
On the second-season finale tonight at 9pm EST, fans will get to see a rare sight indeed when Sheriff Carter and his nemesis in love and smarts, Nathan Stark (Ed Quinn), are forced to join forces to save Allison’s son Kevin (Meshach Peters) and thwart a rapidly spreading deadly virus. Will they save the day, the son, and the town? Unlike on other shows that routinely take the easy and/or predictable way out, you can never be certain with Eureka, which makes the installment “A Night at Global Dynamics” that much more must-see-worthy. Don’t miss it.
