Discovery Channel Gets Back to Nature with ‘Man vs. Wild’ Season Two
Prepare to Be Entertained, Informed, and Disgusted
Tonight at 9pm EST, Discovery Channel is broadcasting the second-season premiere of its hit wilderness survival reality series Man vs. Wild. Starring real-life British adventurer Bear Grylls in various unlikely and awe-inspiring situations, the sophomore go-round intends to showcase exploits that are even more challenging than those in the first season.
Following the season premiere at 10pm, Discovery Channel will present the one-hour special Bear’s Mission Everest, which will show Grylls’ attempt to fly over Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth. The network is billing this stunt as Grylls’ “most dangerous adventure yet,” and I believe it. Good luck with that. Seriously.
This isn’t my cup of tea. But, if Grylls turns you on, have a look-see at the following five clips. I guarantee each and every one is just as nauseating to those with weak stomachs as the next. Then, don’t forget to tune in to Discovery Channel tonight for two hours more of where they came from.
Man vs. Wild currently airs Fridays on Discovery Channel at 9pm EST
