‘Dirty Sexy Money’ Gets a Super Swanky Full Season
Best-of-the-Week Pickup News
The week is just getting started, and already I’ve decided that I’ve received the best possible news yet, other than perhaps the current writers strike finally being officially over. The source of the news is ABC, which announced last Friday that it’s giving a 22-episode, full-season pickup to one of the more enjoyable new series this fall, the soap-opera dramedy Dirty Sexy Money.
The Alphabet Network’s public display of support for Dirty made the series the first show to get an extension instead of just a cut or a work stoppage since the strike began on Monday, November 5.
If only NBC would do the same for my other two favorite new series of the season, Chuck and Life, then the strike would become that much easier to bear. At least now there’s hope that other networks might follow suit and give viewers some worthwhile good news to go along with all the bad.
