Wow. One minute you think you’re watching a harmless little reality show featuring mild-mannered interior designers and the next thing you know, they’re ready to throw down like professional pugilists duking it out in the boxing ring. Okay, maybe I exaggerate a bit, but talk about drama that I would never have expected. After viewing this outtake from tomorrow night’s second challenge of Design Star‘s new season, I have a much different perspective of the dynamics between the remaining ten competitors.
Things are definitely heating up between some as their number begins to dwindle down and alliances arise between like-minded challengers. The second episode makes it immediately clear who’s on the outs with everyone else when neither of the two team leaders chooses them for the two groups formed at the beginning of the episode’s kitchen challenge. This brief video demonstrates just how deep that diss actually goes in a scene I wish had been left in tomorrow night’s broadcast. Alas, it wasn’t, so enjoy the clip instead. Then, check out the show tomorrow night at 9pm EST and watch it again, when it will have even more resonance.
