Notable television tonight, February 19, includes the debut of new CW suspense — or some might even say horror — drama Cult at 9pm ET and the Season Three premiere of ABC medical crime drama Body of Proof at 10pm.

Cult adopts the show-within-a-show format to spook viewers with a creepy tale about an ultra-creepy fictional cult leader in a popular CW television series (played by Prison Break alum Robert Knepper) who just might have a gaggle of even creepier, murderous followers in real life. Alona Tal (Supernatural) portrays an actress on the TV show, while Matt Davis (The Vampire Diaries) plays the brother of an apparent victim of the show’s eerie fans and Jessica Lucas (Melrose Place 2.0) portrays the TV show staffer who helps him out.

Over on ABC, former Human Target and Fringe star Mark Valley joins the cast of the Dana Delany-led series Body of Proof as a regular, which is fantastic. A two-parter airing over two consecutive weeks, the first episode in the “Abducted” season premiere follows what happens as Megan (Delany) and her coworkers try to get over the loss of their colleague Peter (former series regular Nicholas Bishop) at the end of last season, just as a serial killer kidnaps her daughter Lacey (Mary Mouser). Don’t forget to watch the conclusion of the nail-biter next Tuesday, February 26.

Body of Proof will air Tuesdays on ABC at 10pm ET

Cult will air Tuesdays on The CW at 9pm ET
