Former Cast Member Julia Ling Guest Stars

Longtime viewers of always fun NBC spy dramedy Chuck — such as yours truly — have a whole lot to get excited about on the fresh May 10 episode called “Chuck Versus the Tooth.” Not only does Back to the Future fan favorite Christopher Lloyd guest star, but former Chuck cast member Julia Ling returns to reprise her role as unique and sorely missed ex-Nerd Herder Anna Wu.

Lloyd plays Dr. Leo Dreyfus, the CIA shrink General Beckman requires Chuck to get treatment from after he has a series of dreams that cause him to believe danger is in store for a high-level politician visiting town.

Elsewhere, Ellie learns something unexpected and Anna drops by Buy More to chat with her ex Morgan. As viewers may recall, Anna accompanied Morgan to Hawaii at the end of the second season so he could train to become a Benihana chef.

That plan obviously went well considering that Anna hasn’t been seen on the show again since their departure. Thus, it will be interesting to hopefully and finally get her side of the story about what went down and, apparently, wrong.

Preview “Chuck Versus the Tooth” below. For inexplicable reasons, the clip is heavy on Lloyd and totally devoid of Ling. Fingers crossed she gets more than a few seconds of screen time — we Wu fans have been waiting a while for her reappearance and deserve as much Ling as possible.
