‘Castle’ Season Two Ends with a Triangle
Which Man Will Beckett Choose?

The Spring 2010 television season continues to wind down with “A Deadly Game,” the May 17 second-season finale of fun ABC crime dramedy Castle.
As fans of the series are already aware, NYPD Detective Kate Beckett has been juggling two complicated relationships during the last few episodes, one with her crime-beat “shadow” Richard Castle and the other with her recent crime-beat colleague Tom Demming (guest star Michael Trucco of Battlestar Galactica sleeper Cylon fame).
In fitting fashion, Castle‘s current season draws to a close with Beckett forced to decide which relationship is more important. Emotions will probably be everywhere as she and Castle finally reveal how they truly feel about one another. The burning question is whether those admissions will be to each other, only to themselves, or to secondary characters.
Meanwhile, on the murder front, the perplexing death of the week involves a spy who was apparently assassinated. It’s funny how that main plot seems almost irrelevant when there’s a possibility that Beckett and Castle might be more honest with one another at last.
Before watching the full episode, check out two sneak peeks at “A Deadly Game” below. The first clip shows what happens when Beckett and Castle learn their latest victim was an intelligence operative, and the second clip features Castle’s fellow writers and poker pals (real-life authors Stephen J. Cannell, Michael Connelly, and James Patterson in return cameos) discussing his relationship with Beckett.
Castle currently airs Mondays on ABC at 10pm ET
