Bubble Show ‘Life Unexpected’ Ends First Season

Fingers Crossed It Returns

I and many others think it’s a travesty that The CW’s fantastic freshman dramedy Life Unexpected is on the bubble as its first season winds down, with fans — and possibly the network, too — unsure whether the touching adoption saga will return for a second run.

Unfortunately, that’s how it goes in the TV biz, so for now, viewers should take comfort in the fact that at least we’ve gotten to see all 13 ordered and produced episodes in Life Unexpected‘s rookie season, including tonight’s (April 12) first-season finale “Love Unexpected.”

The big question during the last installment of Season One is if Cate will go through with her nuptial plans and marry her radio show co-host Ryan, who’s a huge catch, for those who don’t realize that already. Or will Cate’s feelings for allegedly irresponsible and immature Baze, the popular dude she had a child with when they were teenagers, get in the way and ruin the big day, for Ryan mostly?

As is common on the dramedy, the situation could go either way, especially when Lux reveals some life-changing information. Can’t wait to see how the wedding and all of the surrounding drama unfold.

Sneak a couple of peeks at “Love Unexpected” in the following preview videos before tuning in to the premiere at 8pm ET. I’m hoping for a big dramatic cliffhanger that will somehow force The CW to renew the series so we can all see what happens next fall after going crazy wondering this summer.
