Brace Yourselves Again: NBC Wins Monday Night to Make It Two in a Row

British Princes William and Harry Help the Peacock Score an Unbelievable Two-Peat

NBC Logo Hotdog! Well, bend me over and play me like a drum. The Peacock Network did it again on Monday night, making it two-for-two as it topped the Nielsen ratings during the critical primetime period. Sunday, NBC also triumphed, pulling in the largest audiences of the night with a low-octane hodgepodge of repeats, overly long golf competition, and the newsmagazine Dateline. Monday’s downright surreal double victory was due in part to Dateline again, which took the form of a special 10pm EST edition that featured a much-anticipated, and obviously much-watched, exclusive interview with England’s Princes William and Harry, sons of Prince Charles and the late and beloved Princess Diana, of course. I happened to miss the event, no thanks to TNT’s tepid new Treat Williams vehicle Heartland, but I’m sure I’ll get another chance when the inevitable replay airs.

Just so you know, NBC was trailed by CBS, Fox, ABC, and The CW, in that order.
